Microneedling
What Is Microneedling?
Microneedling is a minimally invasive skin treatment that uses a device covered in fine, sterile needles to create controlled micro-channels in the surface of the skin. These tiny punctures trigger the body's natural wound healing response, stimulating the production of new collagen and elastin. The result, over time, is firmer, smoother, and more even-looking skin.
The treatment is highly versatile and works well for a range of concerns. Fine lines and mild wrinkles, acne scars and other textural irregularities, enlarged pores, uneven tone, hyperpigmentation, and general skin dullness can all benefit from a series of microneedling treatments.
Unlike more aggressive resurfacing procedures, microneedling preserves the outer layer of the skin while working beneath it. This means recovery is significantly more comfortable and the risk of complications like post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation is much lower, making it a safe and effective option for a broad range of skin tones and types.

What to Expect During and After Treatment
Before your appointment, a topical numbing cream will be applied to ensure you are comfortable throughout the procedure. Once the skin is adequately numb, the microneedling device is moved across the treatment area in a series of passes. The depth and intensity of the treatment will be adjusted based on your skin concerns and the area being treated.
Most patients describe the sensation as a mild vibrating or scratching feeling. The entire procedure typically takes between 30 and 60 minutes depending on the size of the treatment area.
After the treatment, your skin will appear red and may feel warm, similar to a mild sunburn. This is completely normal and typically resolves within 24 to 48 hours. You may also notice some minor pinpoint bleeding in certain areas, particularly if deeper settings are used for scar treatment.
Most clients are comfortable returning to work and daily activities the following day. We recommend avoiding direct sun exposure, heavy makeup, and active skincare ingredients like retinol and vitamin C for a few days after your appointment while the skin is healing.
Improvement from microneedling is gradual and builds over time. A series of 3 to 6 treatments spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart is recommended for optimal results, with maintenance sessions every few months to sustain your outcome.
Microneedling stimulates your skin's natural repair process to improve texture, reduce the appearance of scars, and enhance overall skin quality over time.

How many sessions will I need?
Most patients see the best results with a series of 3 to 6 treatments spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. Maintenance sessions every few months help sustain the improvements.
Is there downtime?
Expect mild redness and minor sensitivity for 24 to 48 hours after treatment. Skin typically returns to normal within a few days and most patients are comfortable going about their normal activities the following day.
What skin concerns does it address?
Microneedling is effective for fine lines, acne scars, uneven texture, enlarged pores, dull skin, and mild hyperpigmentation.
When will I see results?
Some improvement is visible within a few weeks of your first session. Results become more significant after a full series, with skin continuing to improve for several months as collagen production increases.
